Dr. Eugene Itua, a practitioner of many caps, serves as Co-Founder and Trustee of the Carbon Market Association of Nigeria (CMAN). He is the Executive Director of the Africa Green Economy and Sustainability Institute (AGESI) and Chief Executive Officer of Natural Eco Capital.

He leads the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) Special Taskforce on Climate Action and Implementation Agenda, driving private sector policy alignment and green economy transitions across Nigeria.

Dr. Itua is also a Governing Board Member of the Nigeria Employers' Consultative Association (NECA), championing sustainable business models, ESG compliance, and climate finance integration for industrial enterprises.

Dr. Abiola Bashorun is a renowned environmental sustainability expert, climate change strategist, entrepreneur, and business leader with over three decades of experience spanning climate finance, environmental management, financial services, and sustainable development.

As Founder of Kunden Group and Group Chief Executive Officer of ZL Global Alliance, she has led groundbreaking initiatives in climate resilience, carbon trading, renewable energy, waste management, circular economy solutions, and community development across Nigeria and beyond.

A former senior executive with global financial institutions including Mastercard, Barclays Bank, Citibank, Access Bank, UBA, Ecobank, and Stanbic IBTC, she successfully combines private sector excellence with a lifelong commitment to environmental stewardship and inclusive economic growth. Her visionary leadership has directly contributed to the creation of thousands of jobs and the advancement of climate-smart solutions.

As a Trustee of the Carbon Market Association of Nigeria (CMAN), Dr. Bashorun brings extensive expertise in climate governance, carbon markets, sustainability finance, and strategic partnerships. Her distinguished honors include the Africa Quality Order of Merit Award, African Women Industrialization Award (Woman of the Year in Entrepreneurship), International Federation of Environmental Journalists Award, and Fellowship recognition from the Chartered Institute of Commerce of Nigeria.

Ibrahim Abdullahi Shelleng is the Senior Special Assistant to the President of Nigeria on Climate Finance and Stakeholder Engagement (Office of the President) and Secretary of the Intergovernmental Committee on Nigeria’s Carbon Market Activation.

He is a distinguished financial services expert with extensive experience in business development, strategic relationship management, risk analysis, and project finance. With a career spanning investment appraisal, ESG advisory, and portfolio management, Ibrahim has played a pivotal role in strengthening financial ecosystems.

His leadership experience extends across asset management, banking, and financial services, contributing to innovative financing solutions and sustainable economic development.

Ibrahim is a Chartered Stockbroker (ACSI, CISI UK) and holds an MBA. Among many other achievements, Ibrahim has attended the Article 6 Academy by the UNFCCC and the University of Oxford, and completed the Masterclass in International Carbon Markets at the Public and Third Sector Academy for Sustainable Finance (P3SA), University of Oxford.

Deborah Fadeyi is an accomplished energy and sustainability executive and inventor with a decade of cross-disciplinary experience. She founded REES Africa, a non-profit providing clean energy access to Nigeria's most vulnerable and remote rural communities.

She served as Chief Sustainability Officer at Mottainai Recycling (Oyo State Waste Management), holding the position of the youngest C-level executive. Fadeyi also leads Vectar, a climate technology company, and is the innovator of ecoWise — a digital Monitoring, Reporting & Verification (dMRV) system that collects, verifies, and synchronizes real-time energy data from PV solar grids.

The ecoWise dMRV system ensures tamper-proof, verifiable, and traceable solar energy data that transforms environmental credit data into real funding, accelerating solar deployment through voluntary carbon markets while enabling users to reduce costs and monetize climate impact.

She was appointed as the youngest Brain Trust Board Member under the Climate and Energy domain at XPRIZE, where she collaborates with global experts to architect world-changing climate prizes.

Nanbal Luke serves as Co-Founder and Trustee of the Carbon Market Association of Nigeria (CMAN). He is the lead Nigerian Technical Expert for Earthood — a world-renowned auditing and certification institution providing strategic verification services across Climate Change, Net Zero, Sustainability, and Agriculture.

Earthood holds global accreditation from over 21 leading international bodies, including the United Nations (UN), Verra, Gold Standard, Global Carbon Council (GCC), and Social Carbon Standard for emissions reduction verification.

Nanbal has spearheaded numerous project Validation and Verification Body (VVB) exercises for diverse carbon offset projects across Nigeria, ensuring strict adherence to global carbon accounting principles, baseline integrity, and Article 6 standards.

Al-Amin Ibrahim Al-Amin, PhD, FIMC, CMC, is a distinguished climate finance strategist, REDD+ specialist, and carbon project development expert whose work has positioned him among Nigeria’s leading voices in climate action and sustainable development.

As a Trustee of the Carbon Market Association of Nigeria (CMAN), he brings extensive expertise in carbon markets, Article 6 implementation, nature-based solutions, renewable energy systems, and climate finance structuring. Through his leadership of Net-Zero Impact Group and several climate-focused enterprises, he has developed and advanced high-integrity carbon projects spanning REDD+, biochar, clean cooking, renewable energy, e-mobility, circular economy initiatives, and large-scale land restoration programmes across Nigeria.

A PhD researcher in Sustainable Development at the University of Abuja, Dr. Al-Amin combines deep technical knowledge with proven implementation experience, having led climate and sustainability initiatives for government institutions, development partners, private sector organizations, and rural communities.

He has represented multiple Nigerian states at successive United Nations Climate Change Conferences (COPs) and has played a pivotal role in developing bankable climate finance solutions, environmental and social safeguard frameworks, and innovative community-driven climate interventions.

Happy Amos is a Women and Community Development expert, Board Member of the Nigerian Alliance for Clean Cooking, and Managing Director of Roshan Renewable Technologies Ltd.

Through Roshan Renewable Technologies, she pioneers clean cooking and lighting access across Nigeria, empowering rural women, improving household financial conditions, and driving grassroots community development.

As Co-Founder and Trustee of CMAN, she champions gender-inclusive climate finance, clean technology carbon offset origination, and social safeguard integration for community-level carbon market projects.

Dr. Austine Maduka is a distinguished Nigerian agribusiness leader, technology innovator, and development strategist with over three decades of experience driving agricultural transformation, community empowerment, and institutional development.

As the Founder and Chairman of COMAFAS (Community Allied Farmers Association of Nigeria), he has led initiatives that mobilize and support thousands of smallholder farmers through improved access to finance, markets, inputs, and capacity-building opportunities.

A Certified Management Consultant, Dr. Maduka has championed the application of emerging technologies — including artificial intelligence, blockchain, GIS mapping, and precision agriculture systems — to improve agricultural productivity, transparency, and sustainability across Nigeria’s agribusiness value chains.

His notable achievements include facilitating access to agricultural finance for over 80,000 farmers, leading innovative precision agriculture interventions, developing youth-focused agribusiness models, and establishing strategic partnerships that strengthen rural livelihoods and economic resilience.

Horsfall Tony is a biodiversity conservation and climate policy practitioner working at the intersection of protected area conservation, community engagement, environmental governance, and sustainable finance. He currently serves as Stakeholder Engagement Manager of West Africa’s largest forest carbon initiative — The Gashaka Gumti National Park Forest Carbon Project being developed by Africa Carbon Partners for and with Africa Nature Investors (ANI) Foundation and the National Park Service of Nigeria.

His work focuses on advancing integrated conservation models that combine biodiversity protection, community participation, and sustainable financing mechanisms to deliver lasting environmental and socio-economic impact.

As President and Co-Founder of the Carbon Market Association of Nigeria (CMAN), Horsfall leads the Association's mission to unite stakeholders across Nigeria's carbon market ecosystem — including project developers, investors, businesses, service providers, financial institutions, government agencies, academia, local communities, and technical partners — to unlock the full potential of carbon markets for national development.

He is at the forefront of efforts to shape policies and actions that build a transparent, high-integrity carbon market, accelerate project development and climate finance, and position Nigeria as a leading hub for carbon investment in Africa. Through his leadership and broader engagement in national climate and biodiversity initiatives, he contributes to advancing Nigeria's NDCs, net-zero ambitions, biodiversity conservation goals, and sustainable development priorities.
